Michiel is an experienced chartered accountant (RA) who has specialised in financial advisory in the field of mergers, acquisitions and business integrations.
Arthur Andersen was Michiel's first employer after his studies in business economics in Tilbutg. After that, Michiel has worked for ten years at Deloitte, first in Audit and aafterwards for the Transaction Services team. In this role, he performed mainly due dilligence advisory work for private equity clients and het collaborated closely with entrepeneurs.
“Entrepeneurs are always busy, they want to get things moving. As a result, they can initially be a bit sceptical when they have to deal with financial advisors. For this reason, I hold dear a clear and pragmatic operating method. You notice that the scepticism dissappears if the entrepeneur notices that I too want to advance the business, be it from a financial perspective”.
Afterwards, Michiel worked for two year at a private equity firm that helped him gain experience at the other side of the table.
“I enjoy getting to really know and understand a business. Through this experience, where a was more broadly involved in the transaction than before, I can better ifentify myself with my clients”.
Michiel is father of three and avid enthusisast of classic cars, the theathre and sailing.
