Fieke Barendse

Fieke (2000) has been working as a Financial Due Diligence Consultant at SINCERIUS since early 2026. In this role, she contributes to various due diligence projects. What appeals to her about working at SINCERIUS is the strong team dynamics and the dynamic nature of the work. Each project offers new insights into what drives businesses and how they operate, which makes the work particularly interesting for her.

During her student days, she lived in Rotterdam, where she obtained her Bachelor's degree in Finance & Control. During this degree, she went on an exchange to spend a semester at Bishop's University in Canada. Here, she specialised in international economics. After completing her Bachelor's, she pursued an MSc in Accountancy & Control at the University of Amsterdam, which she finished with a specialisation in Control. Her strong interest in how financial information helps steer organisations and support strategic choices developed during her studies. For this reason, she worked as a working student in Business Control at the Dutch Railways (NS) during her Master's year. Here, she gained experience in using financial insights to monitor performance and support decision-making within a large organisation.

Outside of work, Fieke enjoys being active on the tennis and padel courts. She loves travelling and has travelled through Southeast Asia and South America, among other places, where she prefers to go hiking in nature. She also enjoys organising activities; for instance, she was active on the tournament committee of her tennis club, where she was involved in organising club tournaments. Although she loves the sun, she still prefers winter and enjoys going on winter sports holidays.
