Jan van Angelen

Jan (1983) is Director of Business Intelligence at SINCERIUS. He holds a PhD in physics. In his doctoral thesis, "The Greenland ice sheet in a warming climate", he investigated the mass balance of the ice sheet. Using a climate model, he simulated the consequences of global warming for the ice sheet and thus for sea levels. The link with P&L is easily made, as there too, it is about what remains at the bottom line.

Jan is able to quickly and efficiently analyse and present the most important matters from large volumes of data. He has been using this knowledge at SINCERIUS since 2015 to promote the data-driven approach and pass it on to new colleagues. Among other things, this has resulted in the Business Insight tool, which is used with great pleasure both internally and externally.

Jan lives with his wife and two sons in Utrecht and in his spare time he likes to ride his road bike or put on his ice skates in winter (the next Elfstedentocht is just around the corner).
