Joost Siemensma

Joost is the founder of SINCERIUS and has more than 20 years of work experience in the field of Financial Due Diligence ("Transaction Services"). During this period, he has worked in various sectors for both private equity and corporate clients.

"I wanted to do things differently, to deliver added value instead of just billing hours".

Before founding SINCERIUS, Joost worked at the Big Four for 10 years (in Amsterdam and London). After 5 years at KPMG and 5 years at Deloitte, Joost decided to start his own business, focusing on delivering added value. Joost holds a Master's degree in Business Administration and a post-graduate degree in Accountancy from Erasmus University Rotterdam.

In addition, Joost is keen to share his knowledge of Financial Due Diligence with peers and other financial professionals involved in mergers and acquisitions. Therefore, he teaches financial due diligence courses for Chartered Accountants (RAs) and Chartered Controllers (RCs) through the NBA-VRC and Alex van Groningen. He is also involved in training young private equity professionals as a lecturer for the Dutch Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (NVP).

When Joost is not at work, he enjoys sports and can be found on the tennis court, and in the winter on the ice rink in preparation for the next Elfstedentocht. Joost is married and has two sons.
