Koen Smits

Koen (1999) has been working as a Consultant at SINCERIUS since 2026, where he is involved in various due diligence projects. During his Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering and Management, he built up a broad foundation in business management and strategy. It was during this period that his interest in financial markets arose, and he began to actively immerse himself in companies and shares.

During his Master's, Koen specialised further in Corporate Finance at the University of Groningen. Alongside his studies, he was actively involved in various extracurricular activities, including participating in his study association's investment club. What particularly appeals to him in Corporate Finance and M&A is the diversity of business models and sectors, as well as the close contact with inspiring entrepreneurs. Financial Due Diligence appeals to him in particular, because it offers the opportunity to get to know different companies from the inside in a short space of time and to analyse complex valuation issues.

In his spare time, Koen enjoys fitness, activities with friends and reading books on a wide range of subjects.
