Thomas Mooij

Thomas has been working at SINCERIUS as a Medior Consultant Business Intelligence since July 2023. He came into contact with SINCERIUS through a networking drink at his student tennis association in Rotterdam, and they clicked immediately.

Thomas completed a bachelor's degree in Business Administration at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, after which he spent a year serving as treasurer on the 52nd board of the Rotterdam Student Tennis Association Passing Shot. During this year, he was heavily involved in preparing and monitoring an annual budget and held ultimate responsibility for the financial accounts of the entire association.

After completing his board year, he started a master's in Business Information Management. While he discovered his interest in the financial aspects of businesses in the finance courses of his bachelor's programme, he learned a great deal about big data and data analysis in the master's programme. The interest in both fields aligns well with the services SINCERIUS offers.

Before starting as a Consultant Business Intelligence at SINCERIUS, he worked part-time for a while as a student assistant at Ecorys Netherlands, where he was mainly involved in supporting international qualitative research for impact assessments of potential legislative changes that the European Commission wants to implement. Professionally, the move to SINCERIUS was a significant step, but the work at SINCERIUS aligns better with his studies and interests.

In his spare time, he enjoys being on the tennis or padel court and remains quite active in committees at the student tennis association. Furthermore, he loves hiking or skiing in the Austrian mountains.
